Dear Beloved,
As most of you know the South end of Haiti was devastated and totally destroyed by the CAT 4 Hurricane Mathew. As of right now, Fishers of Men Ministries is  in the midst of relief efforts helping the victims of this destruction. These people have lost it all. Their houses, Their gardens and local agriculture, their livestock, existing with no food and no clean water.  In addition to doing our best to assist the peoteple that literally lost everything,  Our ministry  lost 4 schools/churches in the area along with 3 more needing roofs in the other parts of the country .
So here is our strategy. We are sending food, water, used clothes and medicine to a base church still standing in Les Cayes, Pastor Jean Robert, who has been a part of our ministry for close to 30 years is distributing the aid to our area churches and people. We have decided instead of shipping from the USA, we can purchase locally all that we need to help. Our projection cost for this is about $25K. Already a 20 Ft. container is being loaded right now and hopefully will be on the way by Friday. To literally put into words the catastrophic need is almost impossible.
Phase II which will be the most difficult is to help with the rebuild. We have estimated to rebuild the church schools will cost approximately 25K per building. Our engineer, Bill Shelton will be on the ground Friday and we will be making a trip to the south ourselves to sharpen our pencil for each location. To help our brothers in the construction will cost close to a 100k.
Our target goal is to raise $125K, with $30K already raised. We need everyone to consider this relief efforts. Whether you can give $50 or $5,000 I want to encourage all of you to prayerfully consider this. The initial $25,000 for the food, clothes etc. is in the process.
I will be sending pics in the near future.
